Ti-6Al-4V has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio - about 40% lighter than steel at the same strength levels. The two phase microstructure (alpha and beta phases) of the material ensures good mechanical performance and outstanding formability.

It is heat treatable and weldable and will retain its structural integrity up to 400 degrees centigrade. It has excellent resistance to chloride-rich and marine corrosion conditions and better performance than stainless steel in harsh situations.

Polished surfaces have a surface finish that increases appearance and corrosion performance, allowing them to be used in precise industrial and medical applications.
